Frequently asked questions

What is a card?

A card is the most flexible way to take notes. It can contain images, equations, maths, code and more! Cards are limited to 1200 characters, as it is better to break down and share your information into smaller pieces. However you can overflow but it will take up your limit proportionally. (i.e. 1920 characters = 2 cards).

What do you mean by card limit?

Supernotes is all about sharing, and suddenly you may find yourself with 1000s of cards. Don't worry, not all of these cards contribute towards your limit, only cards that are of interest to you 'keep'. You 'keep' a card if you interact with it, such as creating, joining, liking or editing it. Simple.

What happens if I reach my limit?

Game over - just kidding. You can still view, edit and interact with all of the cards you have 'kept', but you can no longer create, like, share or join new cards. You can increase your limit by referring your friends, or upgrading to the unlimited plan.

How do referrals work?

Every person you refer will receive an extra 50 cards. If you are on the free plan you will receive an extra 50 cards as well. However if you are on the Unlimited plan and refer a lot of friends, we will be in touch with free goodies! There has never been a better time to upgrade.

Is Unlimited worth it?

100% yes, no questions asked. No more limits on the number of cards you can have. It also helps us at Supernotes too, to create a better product for you!

I have a referral/promo code?

Nice one! Sign up and then redeem it. You can only be referred once, but you can refer as many friends as you like.

Do you offer a student discount?

It's already included! We have made Supernotes as affordable as possible, since everyone is a student on Supernotes.

How is the payment being processed?

We use Stripe as our payment processor. They handle all of our payments, receipts and store your credit card details securely. So if you see Stripe on your receipt do not worry!

What happens if my payment fails?

For example, an expired credit card. Our payment processor, Stripe, will retry your payment method, multiple times if necessary. If your payment method does not suceed after a week you will be downgraded to the free plan.

Can I change my payment method?

Yes of course, please go to 'Manage Subscription', and it will guide you through the process.

Can I cancel my subscription?

We are sorry to see you go! At any time you may cancel your subscription to the Unlimited Plan. Just go to the Unlimited plan in your Billing settings, and click 'Cancel Subscription'. You will still have the Unlimited plan until the end of your billing cycle.

Do you offer refunds?

Since you are able to try out all of Supernotes features for free, we do not offer refunds. However if you are having issues with Supernotes, please get in touch and we will help you as best we can.
